In August of 2002, Christie was aquired as an already very pregnant, though loveable, abby sow. Her three babies were apropriately born on Labor Day. Two little abbys and a little white smooth hair with one black ear and a ridge of fur down his back. This boar was adopted out at around 6 weeks of age. Then in the words of Shadowsmom, "I had placed them then found out three weeks later Sno pig was in a pet shop and had been there at least two weeks with no one wanting him. He was promptly retrieved. He is such a gentle little guy."
I find it truly amazing and even providential that this little pig wound up right back where he started. Perhaps it is where he was meant to be, or perhaps Pat was just very fortunate to have rescued him from an unknown fate. Either way, I am glad the little tyke made it home.
